Photographs of non professionals athletes who are toned up are downright depressing

Updated: Mar 21

Sports supplements are some of the worst supplements there are. Non-athletes who are toned up are very frequently taking sports supplements. Photographs of non-athletes who are toned up are downright depressing

Sports supplements almost all have natural flavors, contain plant polyphenols and/or citric acid. Protein supplements are marketed to athletes but protein supplements should not ever be taken. See this post.

Smoothies very frequently are parts of sports training. Smoothies contain high levels of plant polyphenols. See this page.

Hydration drinks are parts of sports training too. Hydration drinks very frequently contain natural flavors and/or citric acid. See this page.

Professional athletes take sports supplements too, drink smoothies and/or hydration drinks but at least there is some point to being toned up. Non professional athletes who are toned up who take sports supplements and/or who drink smoothies and spend almost endless hours getting toned up get less than zip for all that effort.

There are grounds for staying in shape. Taking sports supplements is however a  disastrous way of staying in shape.
