Research points to there being no risk factors in regards to low back pain. What is occurring is that there are decreases in uridine monophosphate which become more pronounced as time goes forward which do not correct unless various supplements are taken. Low back pain is very prevalent.
Neck pain is also very prevalent life with a life time prevalence of 66.7% and point prevalence is 22.2% Neck pain that is not kinetically triggered would also be due to decreases in uridine monophosphate where such decreases become more pronounced as time goes forward.
Acids particularly vitamin C taken in megadosages but also acidic drinks dysregulate carbamoyl phosphate synthetase II which is needed for production of orotate which is needed for production of uridine monophosphate which is needed to synthesize cartilage, synthesize RNA and synthesize DNA. See upper left side of this diagram.
Carbamoyl phosphate synthetase II requires HCO3− (bicarbonate). The pH of bicarbonate is 9. Acids react with bicarbonate dysregulating carbamoyl phosphate synthetase II.
Elderly individuals that have low back pain and/or neck pain could be frail in ways other than having low back and/or low neck pain as a result of decreases in RNA and DNA synthesis and decreases in protein levels. Treating low back pain and/or treating neck pain with appropriate supplements could result in elderly individuals being less generally frail.
There are risk factors but those risk factors are all around so difficult to pin down Megadosages of vitamin C and/or acidic drinks are risk factors for low back pain and/or neck pain. A key deal in regards to low back pain and/or neck pain that is non kinetically triggered low back pain and/or non kinetically triggered neck pain can becomes worse even where taking megadosages of vitamin C and/or drinking of acidic drinks has stopped unless appropriate supplements are taken.
With decreases in RNA synthesis and DNA synthesis due to megadosages of vitamin C and/or drinking acidic drinks which decrease synthesis of uridine monophosphate difficulties keep on increasing and are not self-correcting unless supplements are taken. See this post.
Muscle cramps can result from low levels of acetylcholine. See this post. Muscle pains can also result from decreased protein synthesis that results from low levels of L-citrulline. See this post. Back pain and/or neck pain can also be kinetically triggered.
