A key fact about megadosages of vitamin C and/or drinking acidic drinks

Only stopping dietary megadosages of vitamin C and/or stopping drinking acidic drinks does not  result in  protein levels being reset.  There can be epigenetic changes that are long lasting  where megadosages of vitamin C has been supplemented and/or acidic drinks have been drunk.  

 

Supplemental selenium for example can epigenetically downregulate genes for deioidinases in livers which activate thyroid hormones. See this post. Where selenium has been supplemented triiodothyronine (T3) could have to be taken.

 

Where megadosages of vitamin C and/or acidic drinks have been drunk even where supplementation of more than RDA dosages of selenium has stopped protein levels of selenium deioidinases  do not reset. Supplements can be taken to address such difficulties. See this page.  

 

Vitamin C can long term epigenetically downregulate in gastrointestinal tracts divalent mental transporter 1 which transports iron, manganese and copper 1 resulting in manganese and copper deficiencies. Where high dosages of vitamin C have been supplemented manganese, copper and iron levels have to be tested. Supplementation with iron from iron bisglycinate, supplementation with manganese from manganese bisglycinate, copper from copper bisglycinate and zinc from zinc bisglycinate could be required.

 

Carbonated drinks can downregulate carbamoyl phosphate synthase with produces L-citrulline from which L-arginine is synthesized from which nitric oxide is synthesized. Nitric oxide is key to getting erections.. See this post.

 

Carbonated drinks are acidic drink. See this page.  Carbonated drinks  can impair long term sexual abilities of males.

 

Children who are off milk are way ahead where such children only drink water. Drinks are highly bioavailable in gastrointestinal tracts. By drinking only water subsequent to getting off milk lots of difficulties of children could be prevented.
